these images are from a trip to europe with my grandparents when I was barely a teen. we flew into frankfurt, trained to paris, drove back east through germany, and visited switzerland, austria, and northern italy before going up through holland and its neighbors. grandfather was a collector of covered bridge imagery, and in visiting a number of them to take photographs we traveled through a lot of countryside that was off the beaten path. these pictures were scanned from old slides that were somewhat faded and in no particular order after all these years. since I can't identify many of them exactly at this late date I've organized them here thematically. |
